What to Expect

UArizona's new General Education program is designed so you can explore your interests, understand others’ perspectives, and make connections between your courses to achieve your academic and career goals.

Start with the Basics

You’ll kick off your experience with a 1-unit course that will show you how to make the most of your Gen Ed courses, and you’ll accomplish your Foundations in Math, Second Language, and Writing.

Try on New Ways of Thinking

Build on your talents and explore new ones by gaining experience in four Perspectives: The Artist, Humanist, Natural Scientist, and Social Scientist.

Exploring Perspectives

Solve Problems Together

Build connections between disciplines so that you can understand the world from various points of view and ultimately build the communications skills, empathy, and understanding that will enable you to work together to take on the world’s challenges.

Building Connections

Make It Your Own

Choose the Attributes you’d like to incorporate into your learning: Diversity & Equity, Quantitative Reasoning, World Cultures & Societies, and Writing.

Reflect on Your Accomplishments

You’ll end your experience like you began it, with a 1-unit course that will help you reflect on all you’ve learned and consider how you will apply that learning to greater success in your major.
