Students whose Catalog Year at the University of Arizona is listed as Spring 2022 or later are enrolled in the new GE program.
Who is supporting the rollout of the new GE program?
The Office of General Education has been created to support students, instructors, and advisors during the rollout of the new GE program.
Who is teaching in the new GE program?
Instructors whose courses have been nominated for adaptation to the new GE program by the Academic Dean of their College and who have completed Quick Start are eligible to teach in the new GE program.
Who is reviewing and approving courses for the new GE program?
The University-Wide General Education Committee (UWGEC) remains the faculty body responsible for reviewing and approving courses within General Education. The Office of General Education provides a supporting role to UWGEC and does not approve courses.
