Sessions will be offered on a recurring Monday/Wednesday schedule for three weeks in October. Please feel free to select whichever date(s) work best for you.

Session 1: Mondays, 11:30AM-12:30PM (AZ time)

Crafting Effective and Aligned Course Objectives

In this session, we will hear from Dr. Katie Southard (Director of Instructional Support for General Education) about the characteristics of effective and aligned course objectives, and she will share examples from instructors in previous Quick Start cohorts. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions and get initial feedback on course objectives for their courses.

Session 2: Wednesdays, 11:30AM-12:30PM (AZ time)

Helping Students Make Meaning through Signature Assignments

In this session, we will hear from Dr. Emily Jo Schwaller (Instructional Technology and ePortfolio Coordinator for General Education) about the purpose of signature assignments, and she will share examples of signature assignments that are aligned with course learning outcomes. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions and get feedback on signature assignment materials.
