Advisor Tip of the Month: 200-level courses and Freshmen

Our Advising Tip of the Month comes from Elaine Marchello: “When I was advising, I did not actively push 200 level courses on freshmen; however, I really did not have any issues with them taking them their first semester. For some students, particularly those with transfer credit or who elect to take ENGL 109H or who are placed into calculus, 200 level courses may not present a significant academic challenge.”
