Calling on all general education instructors: Do you have a signature assignment this fall that requires students to think critically? If so, we want to hear from you!
We're looking for single-authored assignments that display critical thinking. Preferably, these will be signature assignments, but other assignments will be accepted as well. Specifically, we are looking for assignments that are:
- embedded in the curriculum of a general education course;
- aligned with three or more rubric criteria (Argumentation; Evaluation of Evidence; Analysis/Interpretation/Reflection; Conclusions/Outcomes/Meaning-making).
If your course includes an assignment that aligns with the Critical Thinking Rubric, please complete the Critical Thinking Assignment Survey. The only other action on your part will be to add Elaine Marchello as an instructor for your course in D2L and let her know the name of the assignment and date it is due.
