Jeri Heileman
I’m Jeri Heileman (she, her, hers), an Assistant Professor of Practice in Office of General Education. Across the years of my professional career, the common thread has been a desire to support students and their individual journeys through learning and life. Prior to joining the University of Arizona community, I enjoyed many experiences serving in K-12 in Florida, North Carolina, and New Mexico. I held positions as a classroom mathematics teacher, instructional coach, district leader, and middle school principal.
My academic journey includes an undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Florida, a master’s in Psychological Foundations from the University of New Mexico and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky. My dissertation focused on strengthening students’ sense of connectedness through strategic onboarding practices.
When I’m not teaching, my husband and I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, and eating out. We also enjoy spending time with our family which includes three grown children and their partners and the best...three grandchildren.
