Meet the Instructional Support Team

The Instructional Support Team (IST) is a comprehensive instruction and learning subteam within the Office of General Education. The IST is designed to support Gen Ed instructors from ideation to instruction. Our team is poised to help move you from a Gen Ed Idea to Gen Ed instruction with various materials and support. 

Mission

 To guide learning environment creators toward the goal of developing and sustaining meaningful, equity-focused, and interconnected student learning experiences across the institution. 

Goals

1. Build connections, relationships, and establish community with instructors across campus.

2. Support broader teaching and learning efforts within General Education.

3. Use data (both structured and informally gathered) to guide our programming focus.

4. Engage in broader academic and campus conversations to promote structural and innovative changes in teaching and learning infrastructure.
