Your hosts will be Dr. Jeremy Vetter, Chair of the University-wide General Education Committee; Dr. Susan Miller-Cochran, Executive Director of the Office of General Education; and Dr. Elaine Marchello, Director of Assessment in the Office of General Education.

Civic knowledge (also called American Institutions) represents one of the knowledge areas that all Arizona public universities must include in their general education curricula per Arizona Board of Regents Policy 2-210.  In our discussions, we hope to hear from colleagues about civic knowledge within our general education curriculum and future participation in the inter-university assessment of civic learning, which will begin in Fall 2024.
